here’s how it works
Registered voters sign up for the service by filling out a simple form on the web. They then set their alert preferences (email, text or both) and wait for tracking to begin. The voter gets this first alert when they sign up to confirm the service is set and ready to go: Thank you for signing up for i3ballot! You’ll receive messages about the delivery of your ballot for the November 3, 2009 election.
As the election nears the voter can receive many different alerts letting them know the status of their ballot.
Here are some examples of email messages that voters could receive:Your ballot has been printed. It will be mailed to you during the week of October 12-16, 2009.Just a reminder: The election is 5 days away. Today is the last day to mail your ballot to ensure it is delivered by 7 p.m. on Election Day.Today is Election Day. We have not received your ballot. Please drop off your ballot to the Elections Division by 7 p.m.
Here are a few sample text messages:Your ballot is at the main post office.Ballot returned as undeliverable, please call XXX-XXX-XXXX.Today is the last day to request a replacement ballot be mailed.
